Let the wedding season begin...

It has been a while since our last update! As the summer season kicks off, so is the wedding season. Since June, our weekends are filled with various farmer's markets and weddings. Today, we want to share some photos of a small intimate wedding we did for Mary Anne.

The bride requested gluten/corn/nut free cake and cupcakes for her special day. We also made some simple, elegant cake lollipops as favours for guests to take away! Mary Anne wanted something simple and elegant but at the same time incorporate her Chinese background (so we used vibrant red coloured flowers, which symbolizes good fortune and happiness and it matches the colour of Mary Anne's dress!). The cake and cupcakes were decorated with red sugar cherry blossoms and so are the cake lollies.

EP!C-Vancouver Sun Sustainable Living Show 2010 (Part-I)

It's only been a couple of hours since we got back from this year's amazing EP!C Expo at the new Convention Center and we couldn't wait to share some pictures that we took from the show! We had a fabulous time meeting other vendors and visitors. We want to say a very very very big thank you to Liliana and the girls from Green Chair Events for putting on such a gorgeous wedding showcase. Without them, we would have had the opportunity to be involved in such a wonderful event, full of people who are passionate in making our community a step toward being more sustainable! Thanks to Shona (from Green Earth Photography), Andrew (our #1 fan),Shannon and Max for dropping in to see us! We are over-the-moon, jumping up and down with joy when we received 2 phone calls yesterday. One was from Vancouver Sun, one was from North Shore News (North Vancouver). Both are doing articles and green, sustainable wedding, and got to know us from the EPIC Expo Media department. YES, and we are also excited to be at the EPIC Expo in 2 days! A beautiful cake fit for a princess!

Today we had the honour of making a simple, elegant and decadent birthday cake for Mo's princess! For such a special day, we made a dark chocolate All-American cake layered with organic raspberry preserve frosted with organic raspberry buttercream. Here are some pictures of the cake and also a very cute picture of Mo's furry princess Jesse trying to get a slice of sweetness!

Sweet Naturally @ Vancouver Bakers Market

Spring is here and we are getting busier at our bakery! Since the end of March we have been participating at the Bakers Market in Vancouver and we are happy to announce that we have been selected as a prepared food vendor at the Ambleside and Burnaby Farmers Market for the upcoming market season!

In addition, we have launched our irresistible, gluten-free Coconut Chocolate Cookies. Stay tune for our upcoming post on the story behind our Coconut Cookies!

Finally, as chocolate junkies ourselves, we have to share a wonderful news with our loyal Triple Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie fans. (drum roll please....) Callebaut Chocolates!!!! Love Sweet Love- a sneak preview

It has been ages since our last post. Yes, it has been eventful for us during the last few months. So we thought we would start our first post of 2010 with a very special event- a wedding fair!

We will be attending The Grassroots Wedding Fair this coming Saturday (Jan. 30) at the Vancouver's Heritage Hall. This special wedding fair will showcase local "green" businesses.
